About Us
Bill has lived and owned a business in Jervis Bay since 1998, coming from a corporate and engineering background. The dive shop was the perfect platform to develop maritime training as a continuation from dive education and running two commercial vessels. So in 2014, Bill became a trainer and assesor for Sea School International. On selling the business in 2016, the decision was made to establish Sea School Jervis Bay and provide more opportunity for quality maritime training on the NSW South Coast. Since then he has never looked back.
Julia has lived and worked in Jervis Bay since 2000, coming from a nursing background. As manager for the dive shop, developing safety management systems, monitoring ongoing staff training, skippering the dive boats and teaching the odd dive course were all part of the role. With these skills and experience, transitioning to maritime training made sense.

Bill and Julia team teach most programs which enhances the students learning experience, by engaging with different teaching styles. Having female and male trainers brings a balance to the courses and encourages female participation in a male dominated industry/activity. Classes are kept small to ensure personal tuition and no one is left behind because they didn't feel comfortable asking a question.
We have trained staff for....Dolphin Watch Cruises, Jervis Bay Wild, Jervis Bay Marine Park, Sydney Ports, Australian Federal Police, DPI Fisheries, local estuary fishing businesses, along with many individuals wanting to upskill.
Our Junee
Because of our love of boating we also have a 60ft canal boat in the UK - "Our Junee". As a result we have developed our teacing range further, offering an RYA Inland Helmsman Course & Certification. This two day course gives you the safety knowledge and basic skills to handle a widebeam narrowboat on the canals in England & Europe, perfect for canal boat holidays.
Canal Boat Holidays
From 2022 Our Junee will be available for liveaboard hire between June and August. This is a great way to see the English country side, slow down and relax. You will recieve tuition from Bill & Julia before being left to your own devices on the beautiful waterways. However a helping hand will never be far away if it's needed!
